Holepunch has officially launched Keet Mobile, a free, fully encrypted peer-to-peer (P2P) instant messaging application.
The device-agnostic application is a collaboration between Hypercore-backed Hole Punch, stablecoin company Tether, and cryptocurrency exchange and trading platform Bitfinex.
Keet Mobile also supports calling and video chat
The alpha release of the P2P app comes a few months after the three companies announced Keet, a peer-to-peer app designed to integrate Tether (USDT) and support the Lightning Network for micropayments.
Bringing app functionality to mobile users, Keet Mobile completely removes the need for a centralized entity.
